Forty knots is the headline, and it is a real number rather than a builder’s best day. More useful is the 32-knot cruise: it means the fishing grounds that are a long morning in most 62-footers are a short run in this one, and that changes how often the boat actually gets used.
Four staterooms for eight guests at 62 feet is tight-packed by design, because the volume went into the cockpit and the fishing. If you want the same length with more living space, you are looking at a motor yacht, not a Viking convertible. Greg will say so rather than sell you the wrong boat.

The spread inside that band is driven by year, engine hours and rigging rather than by length. Asking prices are not sold prices.
Around 40 knots top and 32 knots cruise. That is quick for a 62-foot convertible and it is the reason the model has the following it does.

On today's market they are different eras rather than different sizes. The 62 on the market is a 2017 at $2,799,000; the 64s are 2006 to 2010 hulls asking $1.099M to $1.85M. If the budget runs to the newer boat the 62 is the stronger long-term hold; if it does not, a well-kept 64 with documented service is a lot of boat for the money.
Generator hours against main engine hours first: a wide gap means dock time with everything running, which ages systems faster than running offshore. Then tower and outrigger condition, electronics currency, and whether the boat was fished hard in tournaments or run gently. A hard-fished boat is not automatically a bad buy, but it should be priced like one.
